Here are items we are currently looking for (as of March 2017):
INSTRUMENTS (All instruments are loaned to current members at no charge during their membership in TRYPO).
- Good quality double French Horns: We historically have a lot of trouble recruiting horn players. Being able to offer an instrument for students interested in switching to horn will help! Inventory: 0 Currently on loan to students: 0
- Good quality Contrabassoon: This unique instrument would allow our bassoonists an opportunity to grow. It is an expensive instrument, so almost no high schoolers will ever own one. When a piece calls for it and it’s missing, the absence is noticeable. Inventory: 0 Currently on loan to students: 0
- Good quality English Horn: Always in demand, having access to another one would help us provide access to learning this unique instrument to more students. Inventory: 1 Currently on loan to students: 1
- Good quality Violas: Many violists get their start on violin, and switch a bit later. Being able to offer an instrument for students interested in switching helps them discover the instrument without investing too much in the switch until they’re ready! Inventory: 3 Currently on loan to students: 0
- Good quality Double Basses: Many bass players get their start on a different string instrument, and switch a bit later. Being able to offer an instrument for students interested in switching helps them discover the instrument without investing too much in the switch until they’re ready! Inventory: 2 Currently on loan to students: 1
- Good quality Piccolo: Doubling on piccolo is practically a requirement in orchestra nowadays. Many students might have access to a piccolo through their school, but some don’t. We always try to provide access to instruments when we can and this would help a lot. Inventory: 0 Currently on loan to students: 0
- High quality Violins: Many high school students have not yet had the opportunity to purchase, borrow, or play on a high quality violin. Borrowing these instruments is a perk for YPO’s Concertmaster and Principal Second Violin. Inventory: 2 [Donated by Dr. Cyril H. Wecht] Currently on loan to students: 1
- Good quality Clarinets: The clarinet family is large and the instruments are called on frequently. It can be difficult for a family to own more than just a standard Bb Clarinet. Inventory: 4 [2 A clarinets, 1 Eb clarinet, 1 Bass Clarinet] Currently on loan to students: 3

OFFICE EQUIPMENT
- New Copier/Fax/Scanner: We will have to replace our machine within the next year or so. As you can imagine, we use this A LOT, and it is a core component to achieving our mission!
SERVICES
