TRYPO Announces Performance at the Three Rivers Arts Festival: Saturday, June 13!
TRYPO is thrilled to participate in the Three Rivers Arts Festival on Saturday, June 13, 2015. Performances by Young Peoples Orchestra (YPO, our full symphonic orchestra), Symphonette (our string ensemble) and two string quartets. This performance will be the opportunity for our Pittsburgh audiences to hear us perform before we hit the road! YPO leaves for NYC the next day on Sunday, June 14!
11:30am: Symphonette performs on the Dollar Bank Main Stage at Point State Park
12:00pm: YPO performs on the Dollar Bank Main Stage at Point State Park
2:00pm: Amadeus and Penn String Quartets perform at the Acoustic Stage

CHAUTAUQUA MUSIC CAMP
August 15-22, 2015.
Registration is now open for TRYPOs new residency camp at the beautiful Chautauqua Institute. Students currently in grades 8-12 (approx.) are invited to a wonderful opportunity in beautiful Chautauqua, NY. Spend a week in strings, jazz, brass, or woodwind camp, led by members of the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra, and stay in a Victorian-era home rented exclusively for PYSO and YPO musicians. Enjoy free time in a truly inspirational setting to practice, busk in the park, eat ice cream, attend concerts, and have fun! There is no audition required for members of PYSO and YPO. Other students are welcome to apply, but audition materials may be required. Space is limited so be sure and reserve your spot now.
