2023-24 Season Large Ensemble Registration

Welcome to TRYPO’s 2023-24 Season! We are so excited to get started and we are happy that you are here! This page contains registration information for all TRYPO large ensembles: Young Peoples Orchestra [YPO], Wind Symphony [WS], Percussion Ensemble [PE], Symphonette [SYM], and Tutti Strings [2T], for the coming season. We will continue to add information as we confirm it as well.

Please complete the steps below to register for the 2023-24 Season. For best chances to secure your chair in TRYPO, please register by Thursday, July 20. After that, registration will open to waitlisted students.

1. Be sure to read together the 2023-24 Student and Parent Handbook
2. Fill out the 2023-24 Large Ensemble Registration Form – Due Thursday, July 20
3. Fill out the Duquesne University Parental Consent, Emergency Contact, and Legal Release – Thursday, July 20 OR at the time of registration if you are joining late. 
4. [Optional] Fill out the 2023-24 Scholarship Application Form – Due Thursday, July 20 OR at the time of registration if you are joining late (and you can submit it at any time during the season). NOTE: This form must be submitted along with the Large Ensemble Registration Form.

• Friday-Sunday, September 1-3 (Labor Day Weekend): YPO Mini-Camp at Ligonier Camp! Attendance is Mandatory.
• Saturday-Sunday, September 2-3 (Labor Day Weekend): Symphonette Mini-Camp at Ligonier Camp! Attendance is Mandatory.
• Saturday, September 9: First day of YPO, Symphonette & Tutti rehearsals at Duquesne University Mary Pappert School of Music.
• Date TBA: First day of Percussion Ensemble Sessions.
• Saturday, October 21: First day of Wind Symphony rehearsals at Duquesne University Mary Pappert School of Music.

• YPO Winds, Brass and Percussion Seating Audition Info: Seating auditions for WB&P will take place in late August. Excerpts and other details coming soon!

• Google Classroom Info: Students will receive an invitation to join their ensembles’ Google Classroom a few weeks prior to the beginning of the season.
