Welcome to the League's 78th National Conference as we kick off in beautiful Heinz Hall with performances by both the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra, playing Danzón No. 2 by Arturo Márquez, and the Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestras YPO ensemble, playing Umoja, Anthem of Unity for orchestra by Valerie Coleman. Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestras is thrilled to unveil an exciting summer initiative to provide honors band/orchestra audition preparation for students in grades 9 through 12. This FREE clinic is designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and insights to excel in their honors auditions, offering a head start as they transition into the fall of 2023. Scheduled for June 28th from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at North Hills Middle School, this session promises to be a transformative experience for aspiring musicians.
