TRYPO is hosting a free string excerpt Audition Clinic for middle and high school music students on Saturday, March 30 from 11:30 am-12:30 pm at Duquesne University’s Mary Pappert School of Music. The clinic will provide students with an opportunity to work on YPO string excerpts for the upcoming YPO auditions with professional coaches from TRYPO’s Symphonette program. Coaches will play excerpts, share tips, and talk about how to practice. Students should bring their instruments. TRYPO students will participate in Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra EQT Student Side-By-Side Program
by rhoward39 of the 57 participants in the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra’s EQT Student Side-By-Side Program are currently enrolled in a TRYPO administered program or are alumni of a TRYPO administered program! These talented student musicians in grades 9-12 have the amazing opportunity to rehearse and perform “side-by-side” with their Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra counterparts on the Heinz Hall stage. Participants receive personal coaching from their PSO stand partners and enhance their knowledge of the music field.
