Auditions can be a nerve-wracking experience for anyone, regardless of age or experience. Recently, I had to re-audition for the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh since we just welcomed a new Music Director, Daniel Singer, to the organization, and the process made me reflect on the similar journey of our youth orchestra students as they undergo their seating auditions. TRYPO is thrilled to unveil an exciting summer initiative to provide honors band/orchestra audition preparation for students in grades 9 through 12. This FREE clinic is designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and insights to excel in their honors auditions, offering a head start as they transition into the fall of 2023. Scheduled for June 28th from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at North Hills Middle School, this session promises to be a transformative experience for aspiring musicians.
