  • Jeremy Black has been Principal Second Violin of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra since 2017, having played in the First Violin section from 2002 to 2017. He also performs as Concertmaster of the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra each summer in Chicago, a position he has held since 2005. Black has played as guest Concertmaster with the Pittsburgh Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Symphony, and Buffalo Philharmonic, and in the violin sections of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, and Cleveland Orchestra. Becky Becky has been a TRYPO musician for four years, playing oboe in Wind Symphony, Young Peoples Orchestra, and Youth Chamber Connection.   • This Senior Spotlight features seniors in our viola section. Learn more about Claire, Katie, and Anna below! Claire Claire has played the viola in Young Peoples Orchestra for two years. She wanted to join TRYPO for the opportunity to play in a full symphony orchestra and to be challenged by advanced repertoire.   • Help us celebrate our 2022 graduating musicians by learning more about them. Today, we feature Kaydence, who plays Trombone in Wind Symphony and Young Peoples Orchestra. She has been a TRYPO member for four years and joined to have the opportunity to play alongside other musicians outside of her school district. Her favorite memory was the first time she performed at Heinz Hall when TRYPO presented Carmina Burana. Kaydence is graduating from Mount Lebanon High School and plans to attend Youngstown State University, where she will major in electrical engineering and minor in music.   • Hanna Kim has been the percussion coach for TRYPO’s Wind Symphony since 2021 and was a TRYPO member from 2007 to 2009, making her a part of the TRYPOfam for over a decade! Ms. Kim is currently a freelance musician based in Pittsburgh. She performs with the Pittsburgh Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, New World Symphony in Miami, and Curtis Symphony Orchestra in Philadelphia.  Ms. Kim earned her Bachelor of Music Performance degree from The Juilliard School where she studied with Daniel Druckman, her Masters of Music degree from Temple University under the tutelage of Alan Abel and Christopher Deviney, and her …
