We are thrilled to share a remarkable achievement that underscores our commitment to excellence and leadership in the world of music. Our very own Executive Director, Lindsey Nova, has been appointed as an Ex-Officio Member of the prestigious League of American Orchestras Board of Directors and named Chair of the League of American Orchestras Youth Orchestra Division.

This distinguished appointment recognizes Lindsey’s exceptional dedication, expertise, and unwavering passion for advancing orchestral music, especially as it relates to youth orchestras. As an Ex-Officio Member, Lindsey will play a vital role in shaping the direction of the League of American Orchestras, contributing insights and perspectives gained from her time with TRYPO. This appointment not only reflects Lindsey’s individual achievements but also highlights the remarkable strides TRYPO has made under her leadership.

At the League of American Orchestras Conference this past June, Lindsey presented a session called “Youth Perspectives on Engaging with Orchestras” with her colleague from the Nashville Symphony, Sonja Thoms, which touched on what current youth musicians have to say about how they plan to support orchestras in the future and what changes they would like to see to make the art form more accessible for everyone. You view the PowerPoint from the session here.

The League of American Orchestras is a renowned platform that fosters collaboration, innovation, and advocacy within the orchestral community. With Lindsey serving as an Ex-Officio Member and Chair of the Youth Orchestras Division, we are confident that our organization’s values, vision, and dedication will be effectively represented and contribute significantly to the larger orchestral landscape.

Please join us in congratulating Lindsey on this exceptional accomplishment. We are immensely proud of her achievements and are excited to witness the positive impact she will undoubtedly have in this new capacity.
