2018 Silent Auction Preview!

Take a look at some of the major packages our amazing donors (and TRYPO friends and families) have provided! We’ll have even more items available to bid on at our May 13 concert. If you can’t join us at the event but still want to participate in the auction, place an e-bid using our online absentee bid form and we’ll be in touch!

Best. Performing Arts Camp. EVER.

Value: $5,050. Starting bid: $2,000

Or, so say some of our musicians (two of whom are pictured here at the 2017 New York Pops Side-by-Side concert during Session 4). Send your son or daughter to the French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts for three weeks this summer, where your child can work with TRYPO’s incoming music director, Brian Worsdale. And also learn to water ski, ride a horse, dance, juggle, act, ride a unicycle, bake, make a movie, skateboard, zipline, play tennis, and much, much more! Note: this package is available only to new campers (ages 7-17) and is valid for either Session 1 (June 7-26) or Session 4 (August 5-26). Taking a plane isn’t enough for you? Jump out of one! Head out to Grove City with an equally adventuresome buddy for two tandem jumps with SkyDivePA. Generously donated by Jeremy Branson and SkyDivePA.


Relax and Unplug at Deep Creek Lake

Value: $1,250. Starting bid: $625

Not an “adrenaline junkie”? Spend up to a week kicking back and relaxing this summer or autumn connecting with 6-8 of your closest friends and/or family at a 3-bedroom condo on Deep Creek Lake in Maryland. (Yes, the condo has wifi, but that sort of defeats the purpose, no?) Package includes a lap blanket, Starbucks treats, and more. Condo sleeps up to 10 (8 comfortably); view photos/details. A Year of Drama

Value: $500. Starting bid: $250

Enjoy local drama year round! This summer, take in a mainstage performance by the Little Lake Theatre Company in Upper St. Clair, and grab dinner beforehand at Mad Mex. Once school begins, the drama continues: You’ll have two season tickets to the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama’s 2018-19 season, plus a $200 gift card to Jimmy Wan’s. Pretty Woman Polo Picnic

Value: $450. Starting bid: $225

Enjoy a day on the grounds of Hartwood Acres, watching the 35th Annual Family House Polo Match. Package includes a parking spot on the grounds; entrance for six adults to the September 15, 2018, event; a Trader Joe’s goodie bag and $20 Trader Joe’s gift card to help you get the picnic started; and a bottle of wine. Custom Pen & Ink

Value: $400. Starting bid: $200

Turn your favorite street scene, skyline, or building (for example, Heinz Hall, Carnegie Hall, or perhaps Prague’s Rudolfinum?) into a work of art, courtesy of illustrator/graphic designer/book artist Lisa Rasmussen. Take a Bow

Value: $360. Starting bid: $180

Violinists: upgrade your sound with a new PRESTO Ovation Carbon Fiber violin bow and rehair your existing bow! PRESTO bow generously donated by Shar Music; rehair certificate donated by Craig Schaeffer of The String Workshop.


Shall We Dance?

Value: $350. Starting bid: $175

Enjoy a year of athletic artistry and contemporary dance with a “Season Pass” — two season tickets — to all of Attack Theatre‘s Season 24 performances (2018-19). There’s nothing (too) fishy about this package. Start the evening with dinner at Bonefish Grill, then take in a River City Brass performance of your choice in Upper St. Clair, McCandless, or Oakland.
