Read all about Marissa’s time in TRYPO and what she is doing now: Marissa started playing cello at the age of four and immediately developed a passion for the instrument. She served as principal and assistant principal cellist of TRYPO’s YPO ensemble during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. Coach Spotlight: Learn More About TRYPO Alum, Katelyn Piroth
by Emily BovanKatelyn Piroth is an orchestra teacher in the Pine-Richland School District, where she teaches fourth through eighth-grade orchestra. In addition to her work in the public school, she teaches private lessons for students in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh. Ms. Piroth is also a member of the Butler Symphony Orchestra and often plays with other orchestras and various ensembles in and around the Pittsburgh area. She holds both her Bachelors’s and Master’s degrees in Music Education from Duquesne University, where she studied viola with Marylène Gingras-Roy.
