Did you know that September 15 through October 15 is Hispanic Heritage month? To celebrate, we highlighted some Hispanic composers and the pieces that TRYPO ensembles are preparing to perform this winter. Our 2022-23 season theme is “Music of the Americas,” so works by Hispanic composers will be heard throughout the year.               We love hearing from our alums about what they’ve been up to since their time in TRYPO! Today we feature cellist Marissa Muth! Read all about Marissa’s time in TRYPO and what she is doing now: Marissa started playing cello at the age of four and immediately developed a passion for the instrument. She served as principal and assistant principal cellist of TRYPO’s YPO ensemble during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. This past June, our TRYPO musicians finally got to travel to New York on our Conquer Carnegie Tour and attend the French Woods Festival stay-away camp, followed by a performance at Carnegie Hall. While we loved to provide this opportunity for our musicians, it is even better to hear how meaningful the experience was for them after having to wait so long to go because of the pandemic. Sophia  Sophia has been a part of the #TRYPOfam for six years. During her time in TRYPO, Sophia has played cello in Symphonette and Young Peoples Orchestra.
