Join us for our Spring Concert Series: Music of the Americas on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Carnegie Music Hall of Oakland, featuring TWO performances at 1:15 PM and 5:15 PM. This season’s programming celebrates the music of North and South America and the composers who influenced it. From Astor Piazzolla and Michael Markowski to Béla Bartók, Felix Mendelssohn, and George Gershwin, we’re exploring the unique sounds brought to us by these musical minds!

Learn more about Yukiko Nishimura, Jessie Montgomery, Julie Giroux, and Valerie Coleman: Yukiko Nishimura, Composer/Pianist, was born in Japan. She graduated from the Tokyo University of Arts in 1990. In 1991, she began private study with Dr. Alfred Reed at the University of Miami, and in 1993 she continued her studies with Dr. Richard Danielpour at the Manhattan School of Music. TRYPO Musicians Return Home After a Successful Trip to DC
